The pattern is placed in a metal bucket and filled with sand being careful to vibrate the bucket so that there are no pockets of air. When the bucket got full, the sprue was cut off and the head pressure tool was put on top
These images are about 15 minuted after pouring. The part turned out pretty good.
The toilet ring wax made some impressive looking fillets
